Decorating a home is about telling a story. It is the story of the people who dwell there, their travels, their interests, and their family history. The key to any successful story is focusing on the main characters and then setting the "stage" for the play of their lives. Sometimes we use the word "staging" for preparing a home to become a house for resale, but in reality homes are "staged" at all times to help tell the story of its occupants. You immediately know a great deal about someone when you enter their home and see the "stage" where their lives unfold.
